REPORTED OFFENSES:
On November 12, 2010, at approximately 1:30 PM, a female ISU student was walking from campus and was followed by two suspects to the area of School Street and Locust Street. The suspects began pulling on the student’s backpack, but fled when they saw a police car. No property was taken and the student did not sustain any injuries during the incident. The suspects were described as:
Suspect #1: M/B, 20-23 years old, 5’8”-5’9”, thin with loose braids to his ears, wearing dark baggy jeans, skate shoes, and a black skate shirt with a multi colored design.
Suspect #2: M/B, 20-23 years old, 5’9”- 5’10”, thin with short hair, wearing jeans, a black shirt, a black zipper hooded sweatshirt with red writing on the sleeves.
On November 13, 2010, at approximately 1:00 AM, four ISU students were walking in the 800 block of S. University St., near the train tracks, when they were approached by a group of male subjects. The group began to verbally harass the ISU students. One of the ISU students told the group to leave them alone. One of the members of the group punched an ISU student in the face. A fight ensued during which two of the ISU students received minor injuries. No property was taken from the victims. The suspects were described as:
Suspect #1: M/B, shirtless, wearing blue jeans, 5'06"-5'08" tall, weighing 110-120 pounds, short hair.
Suspect #2: M/B, wearing red shirt, blue jeans, 5'06"-5'08" tall, weighing 110-120 pounds, short hair.
Suspect #3: M/B, wearing black shirt with design, 5'06"-5'08" tall, weighing 110-120 pounds, poofy hair.
Suspect #4: M/B, wearing Knicks basketball jersey, 5'06"-5'08" tall, weighing 110-120 pounds.
On November 14, 2010, at approximately 8:40 PM, a male ISU student was walking in the 400 block of W. Vernon Ave, when he was pushed and hit repeatedly by a group of 7 suspects. No property was taken and the student received minor injuries. The suspects were described as:
Suspect #1: M/B, approximately 17 to 19 years old, 5' 8" to 5' 9", buzz cut short hair, wearing a brown and black zip up hooded sweatshirt with jeans
Suspect #2: M/B with ear-length braids.
Suspect #3: F/B, 5'8" to 5'9" with short hair, wearing a white hooded sweatshirt.
The remaining suspects were only described as M/B’s.

REPORTED OFFENSE:
Normal Police have arrested an ISU student on charges of robbery and possession of stolen property in relation to a robbery that occurred in Normal on October 16, 2010. Around 11:00 pm on October 16, two ISU students were walking westbound in the 100 block of East Locust in Normal. Two females exited a red vehicle and began walking behind them. One of the females from the vehicle grabbed the purse of the victim and tore it off her arm. The purse fell to the ground and when the victim bent down to pick it up, she was kicked in the stomach by one of the females, while the other black female grabbed the purse and ran off. One of the assailants was later identified as an ISU student and has been arrested by Normal Police. The student is facing University disciplinary charges for violations of the Code of Student Conduct in addition to the criminal charges.

REPORTED OFFENSE:
On October 6, 2010, at approximately 8:00 PM, a female student was approached by two unknown female subjects and one unknown male subject in the parking area behind 116 W. Cherry Street, Normal. The victim indicated that one of the female suspects grabbed her hair from behind and began striking her on the head. The victim fought back. The second female suspect assisted the first suspect in hitting the victim. The male suspect then joined the two female suspects in hitting the victim and pushed the victim to the ground. One of the suspects took the victim’s cell phone which had fallen from the victim’s purse and another suspect grabbed the victim’s purse. All three suspects fled the area. Suspect #1 was described as a B/F, age 21-25, short hair that was held up, approximately 150 pounds, 5’4” to 5’6”, wearing jeans and a red zip-up hooded sweatshirt.
Suspect #2 was described as a B/F, age 21-25, approximately 150 pounds, 5’4” to 5’6”, wearing black.
Suspect #3 was described as a B/M, age 21-25, short black hair, 6’2”, thin build, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.

REPORTED OFFENSE:
On October 2nd, 2010, at approximately 1:29 AM, a female ISU student was approached by a group of six unknown male subjects in the 200 block of N. Fell Street, Normal. One of the suspects made a flirtatious comment and gave the student a hug while a second suspect attempted to grab the student’s purse. The theft was interrupted by the student’s friend. The other suspects threw a plastic water bottle at the friend and grabbed him before an ISU Police Officer approached the scene. Upon seeing the officer, all of the suspects fled on foot.
The suspects were described as a M/H, and five M/B’s. One M/B was described as being 20-23 years of age, 5’09”, medium build, wearing a white t-shirt, and a black ball cap with a gold design. The victims were unable to provide descriptions of the other suspects.

REPORTED OFFENSE:
On 09-22-10, at approximately 1:35 AM, a male student was walking alone in the 700 block of South Main Street, Normal, when he was grabbed and pushed by two suspects in an attempted robbery. The student attempted to fight back and was incidentally cut by one of the suspects armed with a small pocketknife. The suspects escaped from the scene on foot. The victim later refused medical treatment.
Suspect #1 was described as a B/M, age 20-23, slight build, wearing a red hooded sweatshirt, and dark pants.
Suspect #2 was described as a B/M, age 20-23, slight build, wearing a white hooded sweatshirt and dark pants.

REPORTED OFFENSE:
On 09-18-10, at approximately 3:10 AM, a female student was walking through the College Ave/Main Street underpass on campus, when she was approached by an unknown suspect. The suspect asked the student personal questions, including if she had any money in her purse. Without warning, the suspect struck the student in the face, knocking her to the ground. The suspect removed property from the victim’s purse and fled the scene on foot. The student had minor injuries and reported the incident to the police on 09-20-10.
The suspect was described as a light skinned B/M, 19-21 years old, with short hair, 6’-6’2” tall, weighing 180-200 pounds, wearing a blue t-shirt and dark colored jeans. This case is currently under investigation by the Illinois State University Police and other police agencies to identify and apprehend the suspect. REPORTED OFFENSE:
The Normal Police Department is currently investigating a series of three aggravated batteries and an aggravated battery/robbery that occurred between September 11th and September 12th near the Illinois State University campus. All four incidents occurred between the hours 1:30 AM and 4:40 AM.
On September 11th, at approximately 1:30 AM, an ISU student was called a racial slur and struck in the head with a beer stein by an unknown suspect in the 100 block of E. Irving, Normal. The student chased the suspect, but was hit in the back of the head by a second suspect. Suspect #1 was described as a M/W wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt. Suspect #2 was described as a M/W wearing a white hooded sweatshirt.
On September 11th, at approximately 4:40 AM, six ISU students were involved in an altercation with seven M/H’s on a taxi bus in the 400 block of W. Willow St., Normal. The suspects may have used a glass bottle and belt buckle as a weapon in the fight. Two of the students received minor injuries and the suspects left the scene on the bus.
On September 12th, at approximately 3:00 AM, an ISU student was battered in the face by an unknown suspect in the 600 block of Hester Ave., Normal. The suspect and an unknown partner demanded the student’s money. The student stated he had no money and the suspects kicked the student before taking his keychain/lanyard. The student was treated for minor injuries and the property was later located near the scene. The victim was unable to provide any suspect description.
On September 12th, at approximately 3:57 AM, an ISU student overheard two unknown suspects make a racial slur about his friend in the 700 block of Kingsley St., Normal. Upon intervening, the student was struck over the head with a beer bottle by one of the suspects. The suspect was described as a M/W, 5’7”, brown hair, reddish-brown goatee, wearing a white tank top, and blue jeans.
At this time, it is unknown if any of the incidents are related, but students are strongly encouraged to stay aware of their surroundings while walking at night and immediately report any suspicious activity to the police.

REPORTED OFFENSE:
On August 27, 2010, around 4:46 p.m., Officers from the Normal Police Department were dispatched to the 200 block of West Shelbourne Drive to investigate a sexual assault that had just occurred. The suspect was unknown to the victim and gained entry to the apartment when the victim opened the front door.
The suspect was described as a black male, 18-20 years of age, 5’10 to 6’ tall with short, ear length braided hair and a small gap between his two upper middle teeth. REPORTED OFFENSE:
On 08-19-10, at approximately 2:42 PM, an unknown male suspect entered a female students unlocked apartment in the 200 block of W. Locust Street, Normal to commit a burglary. The student returned to find the suspect still inside her apartment. When she confronted the suspect, he hit her in the face with a closed fist and fled the scene with stolen property. The student reported a minor injury and refused medical treatment.
The suspect was described as a M/W, approximately 5’8” to 5’9”, 22 to 23 years of age, dark brown hair, average build, and unshaven face. The suspect was last seen wearing shiny blue, knee length athletic shorts, gray t-shirt, and a white towel around his neck.
On 08-20-10, at approximately 1:28 AM, three unknown suspects attempted to force entry into a female student’s apartment in the 400 block of W. Locust Street, Normal. The students’ door was locked and the suspects left when they could not gain entry.
All three suspects in this incident were described as M/B. Suspect #1 was 6’02” to 6’03”, wearing a baseball hat. Suspect #2 was 5’ 8” wearing a baseball hat, and suspect #3 was 5’ 8” wearing a red baseball hat with white lettering.
